Cocktails Creamy Vodka

Chai White Russian

My last few posts have been in slight denial that winter is here; for this post I have decided to embrace the chilly season and make a winter warming spiced vanilla chai latte. It is my take on a white Russian but with the addition of vanilla vodka and with chai latte mixed into the milk.

I was so excited to try this recipe, I am a massive fan of chai tea lattes (less so recently once I found out my favorite from Starbucks contains a rather scary 26 teaspoons of sugar per serving). I have used vanilla vodka and less kahlua than you would in a traditional white Russian so you can really get the warming spices from the chai tea coming through.

Absolut Vanilla Vodka

Half milk half single cream

Chai Latte Mix

Cinnamon to garnish

In a boston glass filled with ice add:

12.5ml Kahlua

35ml Absolut Vanilla

75ml Chai Latte half milk and cream mixture

Shake for around 15 seconds

Strain over ice into a tumbler and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Enjoy by the fire with a mince pie (optional)
